Holiday – Monsegur, South of France

We went to Monsegur, in the Bordeaux region of France in October, and stayed in an amazing house.  We went with friends but there was bags of room, seven bedrooms, huge living area and dining room, fantastic grounds, swimming pool…..the views from the front of the house were unbelievable, I could have happily spent hours each day just taking the views in.

We mainly lounged around the house, using the games room – Dave tried to teach me how to play pool, but he wasn’t exactly sucessful ! The house was fully equipped – it even had a cupboard full of brochures for local attractions, maps, games, and so on.  I was over the moon to find that there was also a stock of spices, flavourings etc which meant that I could happily spend hours in the kitchen using the wonderful local foods without having to buy in all the little extras which really add to the cost.

I would (and have) recommended this house to everyone.  It really does cater for the whole family, and the owners and caretakers couldn’t be more friendly.  www.gitesdebordeaux.co.uk
