Just in time
I finished knitting a scarf last night – my first craft project in a long time ! Ok, it’s only a scarf, but it’s ages since I knit anything, and I wanted something that would be finished relatively quickly so that I could see the results.
I chose a beautiful eyelash yarn in a soft heather colour and it’s turned out perfectly. I wore it today taking Lucy to school, and it’s really light, so I don’t feel as if it’s strangling me, but very cosy.
I can’t believe how much knitting wool has changed since I last made anything. It used to be 3 or 4 ply wool, double knit or chunky. Now the array of yarns available is staggering. So many to choose from, all as beautiful as each other.
So for my next project ….hmmmm…I think I need my sewing machine.
